after work, meandering

Johnny's hurt his leg somehow. This happens every so often. He's not an adept climber, and his nails never quite retract - he snags on things. I just fed him a sympathy sardine.

A Monday night, home from work and talking to the cat. "What did you do, boy?" He doesn't meow like a cat, just meeps quietly. A friend once said he sounded like Mike Tyson, so there you go.

I should work on tomorrow's trivia. I have a few ideas, but I'm not sure. I hate slogging through a mediocre round that no one enjoys. I write five rounds a day, four or five days per week. Me, the guy who never did a homework assignment in his life. Now I give daily pop quizzes for fun and profit. Strange ol' world.

  1. I seriously do not know how you manage to come up with all that trivia. It would seem like you would have already done ALL THE TRIVIA! Hey- it's Mick Jagger's birthday. You could do a round on the Rolling Stones. Give the old people a chance. I hope Johnny's leg heals quickly.

  2. I'll take that under consideration.

So do I, poor little fella.

  3. Norbert (my cat) has extra long and curvy claws. I have to trim them. He loves it! *sarcasm* I get all sorts of growls and hisses. I do give him a Temptations after.

I think your job is very cool. How do you come up with ideas? My husband goes to music trivia a couple times a week. His team usually wins and they aren't even cheating with their phones!

    1. Oh yeah, I am murder on cheaters. It just comes from my paying attention to whatever is going on around me and then letting it inspire rounds. Today I'm doing a sound round on the musical episodes of tv shows, because one of my favorite cartoons just did one. That kind of thing.

  4. I could never do what you do. My daughter loves to play trivia games with me because I know nothing.

I hope you don't love Mike Tyson..because I used to date his brother, no lie, and they are both shitheads. Sorry, but I just had to say that :)

    1. Oh, not at all. My cat just has a surprisingly high, soft voice, so the comparison was apt. And you know more than you think.
